CAREER Fair, similar in format to the recent College Fair, is a college and career series follow-on for LIFT families and students. CAREER Fair is purposed for students (grades 8-12).
This event is designed to help families and students become aware of multiple tools and resources available to assist with student career awareness, exploration and discovery. COLLEGE Fair assisted those interested in entering college immediately following high school graduation, while CAREER Fair will assist those interested in entering the workforce [civilian/military/business ownership] immediately following high school graduation. Schools, both public and private, begin this process with 8th graders; and now, so do we.
Representatives such as military recruiters [military career], Montgomery’s Small Business Development Center [entrepreneurial opportunities], Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) and Central AlabamaWorks! [civilian workforce & training options] will be available for presentations and individual student engagement. [Web links attached below]
I solicit your help in promoting this event to all EA students. As we would like maximum participation for this important event that could very well be critical in assisting students in determining their career choices and next step(s) immediately following high school graduation.
